Flamengo reached the third consecutive game without a victory in Brasileirão. This Saturday (4), the day that opened the fifth round of the Brasileirão, the Red-Black it was 1-1 with Red Bull Bragantino, at Nabi Abi Chedid, in Bragança Paulista.
In this way, Fla moves up to fourth place, with eight points in the table. The draw leaves Massa Bruta in third, with nine points. The team, which was the leader until the moment of suffering a draw, is one of the four still undefeated in the competition.
First time
The match started with the home team on top. Expulsion of Luan Cândido 20′ into the first half. Recommended by VAR, the referee went to the video and canceled the expulsion due to De La Cruz’s foul at the beginning of the play.
The goal would come in the 30th minute, with Pedro Henrique. Gustavinho took a corner kick in the area and the defender rose above everyone else to score. It was his first goal since returning to Bragantino.
Second time
Even without changes, Flamengo came back better for the final stage, creating two great opportunities. In the first, Bruno Henrique made a great save from Cleiton, in a move that turned into a blitz for Mengão.
Shortly afterwards, De La Cruz shot alone in the offensive field and ran the entire field until he reached the area. The left-handed shot, however, hit the Massa Bruta goalkeeper’s crossbar.
Bragantino responded. And with 6′ of the final stage, Ramires returned and kicked the ball onto Rossi’s crossbar, almost increasing the score. Going forward in search of a draw, Fla stopped in a miracle from Cleiton, at 25′. Bruno Henrique headed completely free from the small area, in an excellent technical gesture. Braga’s goalkeeper, however, made a brilliant save, avoiding the red-and-black draw.
But Fla has De La Cruz. At 33′, the Uruguayan star made a spectacular pass to Bruno Henrique, who was in front of the goal. Calmly, he touched Cleiton’s exit to finally beat the opposing goalkeeper.
