Botafogo will innovate and this Sunday (5/5) the international broadcast of the match between Botafogo and Bahiavalid for the 5th round of the Brazilian championshipwill be displayed on the Botafogo TV, on the club’s YouTube channel. The action is the first step in John Textor’s project to enhance the club’s brand around the world and leverage business that is superior to the traditional model. The live match will be available at www.botafogotv.com.br
As is public knowledge, Botafogo did not sign the last collective broadcast agreement abroad, adopting its own business and branding strategy. Initially, the games will be broadcast on Botafogo TV, but other future agreements with major players worldwide may also be signed.
In the last test broadcast event carried out by Botafogo TV, in the match against Juventude, Glorioso’s 5-1 victory was shown in more than 50 countries, with special emphasis on the United States, France, United Kingdom, Portugal, Canada and Turkey, who led the number of accesses.
In this initial phase of the project, well-known Botafogo journalist Roby Porto narrates the matches, in English. The signal will only be blocked for Brazil – which has broadcasting rights already sold with TV Globo.
