Oscar Piastri, from McLaren, and Valtteri Bottas, from Sauber, were called by the stewards to answer for an incident at the end of the Sprint qualifying session of the Formula 1 Miami GP.

After completing his flying lap, Bottas was slowing down at Turn 1 when he came into line with Piastri, who appeared to be starting a flying lap.

The two drivers momentarily touched, with Bottas’ right front tire apparently hitting the side of the McLaren.

Therefore, the two pilots must present themselves to the stewards at 5:50 pm local time. Bottas was eliminated in Q1 and will start in P18, while Piastri advanced to Q3 and will line up in P6 in the Sprint race on Saturday.
