Fábio Carille announced this Thursday (2), in a press conference, that he will continue in command of the Santos regardless of the proposals that arrive.
The coach’s name was circulated in recent hours as a possibility to take over the Vascowhich would have consulted your situation last Wednesday (1st). The Rio club, however, denies that it made an offer to Carille or businessman Paulo Pitombeira.
According to the commander, he went to Peixe with the aim of restoring the team to the elite of the Brasileirãoeven refusing better financial offers.
Precisely for this reason, he guaranteed that he will remain in Vila Belmiro “regardless of any” offer.
“I leave these off-field issues in the hands of my manager, Paulo Pitombeira, who has a very good relationship with president Marcelo Teixeira. Of course, our good work, not just mine, but ours, the athletes, commission, board, of course that he attracts the attention of other clubs. But you know very well, I don’t say this out loud: I’m very happy here, very happy”, he began.
“When I was in Japan, and now I’m going to talk a little bit, yes, about the financial part: I had much better proposals than I have here in Santos. So, that’s not the point. The point is that I feel very good here at Santos. That’s why I left Japan, where I had a very good, very peaceful life, and I know what the club’s objective is”, he continued.
“I’ll stay here (at Santos), yes, regardless of any situation, okay? Any other possibility that exists. Not just talking about Vasco, but any other possibility is ruled out, because I want to be in 2025 with Santos in the Brasileirão da Série A”, he added.
Meanwhile, Vasco continues to look for a name on the market for the remainder of the season.
