Santos was notified by FIFA this Tuesday and could suffer its third transfer ban of the season. This time, the debt is in relation to the purchase of Gabriel Carbajal, in 2022, from Argentinos Juniors. The club charges 580 thousand dollars (around R$3 million) from Peixe.

Argentinos Juniors claims not to have received this amount from the sale of the player, who is now 33 years old and is on loan to Puebla, in Mexico, by Peixe himself. The hiring was made by the management of former president Andres Rueda.
To avoid punishment from FIFA, payment of the debt will have to be immediate.
If confirmed, it will be the third transfer ban of the year suffered by Alvinegro.
Santos has already been punished by FIFA for debts owed to former Argentine coach Fabián Bustos and for not paying for the signing of Christian Cueva from Krasnodar, from Russia, made in 2019.
For Bustos, around R$4.7 million was paid. To Krasnodar, there will be three installments with a total value of R$ 22.7 million. Adding the two cases to Carabajal, the total value of the debts reaches R$30 million.
Carabajal arrived at Santos in August 2022 and, in the following season, was loaned to Vasco. Returned to Peixe, it was passed on to Puebla, in Mexico. In total, he will have a contract with Peixe until June 2026. The midfielder has 12 matches and one goal scored.
Peixe signed midfielders Serginho and Patrick and left-back Escobar in the CBF extra window and, at this moment, understands that their squad for Series B is complete. However, he will have to pay the debt to plan his squad for 2025 from the mid-year window.
