The 2024 season of Formula 1 started recently, but many people are already wondering how it will perform Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari in 2025, when he will be Ferrari’s new teammate. Charles Leclerc.

But there are those who think that the driver from Monaco will have problems with the seven-time world champion.

Robert Doornbos, who competed in a total of 11 races for Minardi and Red Bull, told Ziggo Sport who thinks Leclerc’s personality represents a major obstacle to competing against Hamilton or becoming champion.

“Charles Leclerc is too good to be Formula 1 world champion,” said Doornbos. “But he can’t do what a champion like Hamilton or Verstappen can do.”

“Let’s say Ferrari has the best car next year. At that point Hamilton will gobble it up.”

“Leclerc doesn’t have that resistance that is useful when he makes mistakes or has to deal with engineers.” he said.

Doornbos is not the first person to say this. Nico Rosberg said something along the same lines after last year’s Italian GP, declaring that the Monegasque was “very good” with teammate Carlos Sainz.
