Sesi Araraquara beats Catanduva away from home in the Women’s Basketball League

In a game held on Thursday night (25) at Ginásio Anuar Pachá, in Catanduva, Sesi Araraquara beat Bax Catanduva 88 to 64 in a game valid for the return of the Women’s Basketball League (LBF), a competition that brings together the elite of the sport in Brazil.

Araraquarense’s collective game made the difference in the confrontation. Missing in the last game, Manu de Oliveira returned as Sesi Araraquara’s top scorer, with 16 points. Érika de Souza and Sossô had 11 points each, while Izabela had 10 points and 9 rebounds, a performance that earned her the Best Player of the Match trophy. Pivot Bianca led Bax Catanduva’s attack and was the scorer of the game, with 18 points, Barbara had a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds, while captain Natalia distributed 11 assists for the home team.

The team led by coach João Camargo reached 25 points in the standings, the same score as the leader, Sampaio-MA, who has one game less. It was the 11th victory in 14 matches, with a 78.6% success rate.

Sesi Araraquara will return to play at home after four matches away from Araraquara, in a game scheduled for next Monday (29), at 7:30 pm, against Sodiê Mesquita-RJ at Ginásio do Sesi, in Vila Xavier. The game will have free entry upon booking tickets on the Sesi website and live and exclusive broadcast on GE EPTV.
