Walewska’s widower ‘hides’ luxury car in sharing list, say player’s parents < In Attack

Walewska’s parents are in dispute in court with the former player’s widower, Ricardo Mendes. The fight over the estate – the assets left by the former athlete – has been successful and seems far from reaching a mutually agreed outcome.

According to the lawyer for Walewska’s parents, Ricardo Mendes did not include the Porsche valued at R$348,000, which he owned, on the sharing list. However, the ex-husband would have purchased the imported car when he was already married in partial community of assets with the ex-player.

Ricardo’s lawyer stated that he had listed everything he knew, but warned that other heirs could also include other assets in the division.

The lawyer for the former player’s parents criticized Ricardo’s stance, who recently went to court to collect rent from his former in-laws, who live in an apartment left by his daughter.

Walewska’s death

Walewska Oliveira, died on September 21st after falling from the 17th floor of a building in São Paulo. The Olympic champion left four letters before she died.

Former volleyball player Virna, Walewska’s maid of honor, received one of these letters.

“People still don’t know, but she left four letters: one for her father and mother, one for her brother, for her best friend, Gustavo, and a letter for me and Bernardinho. It was very tough. It’s sad, Wal took her life because of her husband”, said Virna.

In an interview with Sportbuzzthis week, she revealed some messages left by her friend.

“She experienced a somewhat oppressive relationship and was unable to ask for help. When her husband asked for separation, it turned out that he had a child out of wedlock and she freaked out as she had been waiting to be a mother for a long time,” Virna revealed.
