One step away from the octaves. This Tuesday (7/5), starting at 7pm, Atlético will visit Rosario Central, from Argentina, at the Gigante de Arroyito Stadium, in Rosario. Next, the On Attack presents the probable lineups for the duel in the fourth round of Group G of the Copa Libertadores.

Rosario Central last played on April 23, for Libertadores. On that occasion, the Argentine team drew 1-1 with Caracas at the UCV Olympic Stadium, in Caracas.

Atlético took the field for the last time on Saturday (4/5), in Series A of the Brazilian Championship. With two goals from Eduardo Vargas, Galo sought a 2-2 draw with Fluminense at the Kleber José de Andrade Stadium, in Cariacica.

The Minas Gerais team only depends on a draw to confirm their place in the round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores. If they beat Rosario Central and Peñarol stumble against Caracas (draw or defeat), Atlético will also guarantee the leadership of Group G in advance.

Probable lineup for Rosario Central

Rosario Central has two long-term absences. Defender Agustín Bravo suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament in his left knee, while striker Abel Hernández underwent surgery in Finland following an acute rupture of the left rectus femoris muscle tendon.

Furthermore, the “Canallas” formation should be similar to that of the first game against Galo. On the right flank, Damián Martínez should take the place previously occupied by Emanuel Coronel. In the middle, Jonathan Gómez should replace Mauricio Martínez.

In this way, the likely lineup for Rosario Central to face Atlético they have: Jorge Broun; Damián Martínez, Facundo Mallo, Carlos Quintana and Agustín Sández; Kevin Ortíz and Jonathan Gómez; Tomás O’Connor, Ignacio Malcorra and Jaminton Campaz; Tobias Cervera.

Atlético’s probable lineup

Coach Gabriel Milito is counting on an important return at Atlético. Suspended in the draw with Fluminense, in the Brazilian Championship, defender Bruno Fuchs is once again available to the Argentine in the Libertadores.

If one defender returned, another became a casualty. Uruguayan Mauricio Lemos remained in Belo Horizonte due to pain in his lower back and will continue working with the Minas Gerais club’s physiotherapy department.

The defender is the third casualty for Galo. The other two are: left-back/midfielder Rubens (sprained left knee, with rupture of the medial collateral ligament and a partial injury to the anterior cruciate ligament) and midfielder Paulo Vitor (surgical procedure to correct ligaments in the left ankle ).

Without major changes, Milito should repeat the lineup from the draw with Fluminense. The main doubt is related to a possible return of Bruno Fuchs to the starting lineup – in this case, in place of Rodrigo Battaglia.

Therefore, the probable Atlético lineup to face Rosario Central they have: Everson; Saravia, Rodrigo Battaglia (Bruno Fuchs), Jemerson and Guilherme Arana; Otávio, Alan Franco, Zaracho and Gustavo Scarpa; Paulinho and Hulk.
