ISA World Longboard Championship, El Sunzal, El Salvador
The 2024 edition of the ISA World Longboard Championship came to an end this Thursday (25), held in the waves of El Sunzal, El Salvador, and Brazil did well in the good 3 to 4 foot waves of the Salvadoran peak with Rodrigo Sphaier, who won the bronze medal in the men’s competitions. The Hawaii team won the team title. The Brazilian team was in fourth place in the overall ranking. Click here and check the complete classification.

Rodrigo had to go through two repechage heats to reach the big decision. The gold medal went to Hawaiian Kai Sallas, current WSL longboard world champion, silver to Japanese Taka Inoue and Frenchman Edouard Delpero, in fourth.
In the women’s category, competitors from Brazil, Atalanta Batista and Luana Soares, were eliminated last Wednesday. The great champion among women was the Hawaiian Honolua Blomfield, three-time WSL world champion, with the North American Rachel Tilly in second, the Japanese Natsumi Taoka and completing the podium, the French Zoé Grospiron, in fourth.
