This Saturday (27), in Las Vegas (USA), Karen Silva aims to take another important step towards the top of the UFC flyweight division (57 kg). Undefeated in the organization, with three victories, the athlete faces off against Ariane Lipski, a professional she knows well. In the past, the fighters trained together in Curitiba. But anyone who thinks that ‘Killer’ is concerned about this fact is mistaken.

In an exclusive interview with the Ag. Fight (click here), Karine, despite her serious tone, denied having any problem with Ariane and agreed with her position, highlighting that both have transformed over the years and for the better. In fact, the Brazilians are part of the UFC’s top-15 flyweight division. In the category ranking, Silva is ranked 13th, while Lipski is number 12. But, despite being behind in the qualification table, ‘Killer’ guarantees that she is ready to beat her former training partner and reinforces that the fight is not a personal issue.

“That’s been a long time ago. We’re different people. I believe that, watching her last fights, we managed to put together a very good strategy and that’s all that matters now. The relationship was very professional. I’m here to work. It’s my job, I don’t have to have anything against anyone. She’s a striking fighter, but she’s MMA, she can do anything. I studied her game, I know her qualities, her gaps. I will set my pace to win. I’m very confident, I worked every day for this”, declared the fighter.
