On Friday, the roads leading to the stadium will be closed to follow the evacuation plan. Because of this, Mainz coach Bo Henriksen’s press conference was brought forward to this Thursday.

The process should not, however, affect Mainz’s game in the German Championship next Sunday. The team faces Cologne at the MEWA Arena, in a decisive match in the fight against relegation. The tendency is for the area to already be cleared by firefighters.

This was the second bomb discovered in the region in the last two weeks. The first was a smaller incendiary bomb, found on April 15th. At the time, it was eliminated without the need for evacuation, with a detonation controlled by firefighters.
