Rough emerald worth R$ 115 million is part of a Revenue Customs auction at Viracopos Airport

The Federal Revenue informs that its Customs Office at Viracopos International Airport, in Campinas (SP), will hold another auction, on May 28th, with seized or abandoned goods.

There are 245 lots in total, which include smartphones, accessories and electronic components for cell phones and notebooks, microcomputers, computer components and peripherals, camera lenses, audio and video equipment, household utensils, pieces for collectors, antiques and vinyl records .

There are also motors, milk analyzer, industrial robot arm, tools, portable sterilizer, battery for agricultural drone, vehicles, bearings, parts and pieces of automobiles and various machines.

The highlight of this auction goes to lot 245, a rough emerald with a starting bid of R$115 million. Verification of the item by interested parties will take place online by appointment, as per instructions in the notice.

The auction will be held electronically. The period for receiving proposals runs from 8am on May 23rd to 9pm on May 27th (Brasília official time). Participation in the electronic auction by individuals and legal entities will take place through the “Electronic Auction System” service, accessed via the Virtual Taxpayer Service Center (e-CAC) using digital identities from the GOV.BR account with level Silver or Gold reliability.

The lots are in various locations and Federal Revenue Units in the state of São Paulo (Santos, São Paulo, São Bernardo do Campo, Guarulhos, Campinas, Araraquara, Sorocaba, Taubaté, Santo André, Guarujá, Jacareí, Barueri and Bauru) and may be examined, by appointment, on normal business days, at the addresses, dates and times indicated in the auction notice. From the auction date, bidders will have 30 days to withdraw the lot.

It is worth noting that “cell phone/accessory” type merchandise cannot be sold, even if purchased by a legal entity.
