Along with supporting other sectors, the new partner will also provide the Italian team with services ranging from computers, printers and other hardware, to communication technology.

In addition, HP will also stamp its logo on the car from next week’s Miami Grand Prix, as well as on the uniform and overalls of the team’s drivers.

“This agreement shows our desire to innovate on and off the track, as well as our commitment to a sustainable future, from carbon neutrality to educating the younger generation. At HP, we find the same values, which make it an ideal partner. We look forward to starting our collaboration” said Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna.

“With technology, performance and exceptional craftsmanship powering the future, the partnership between HP and Ferrari is a natural fit,” commented HP CEO Enrique Lores.

The Hewlett Packard name is already present in Formula 1 with Mercedes, but the team’s partner Hewlett Packard Enterprise, which focuses on cloud and networking solutions, is a different consumer-facing company than HP. The divisions were split into two separate entities in 2015.

It is worth noting that this is the first contract of this type in the team’s history that is not linked to Philip Morris International, thus marking a new era for Ferrari.
