Absolute success in recent months, Cruzeiro’s junior team won the Campeonato Mineiro and the Copa do Brasil U20, at the end of 2023, and runner-up in the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, at the beginning of the year. To shield itself from interest from other clubs, Raposa will renew the contracts of two more promises from this squad.
Defender Bruno Alves and midfielder Rhuan Gabriel, 18, will have their contracts extended this week. The information was initially released by the portal IG and confirmed by On Attack.
Despite not having made their debut for the professional team yet, the boys are registered for the Copa Sudamericana and can be called upon by Fernando Seabra if necessary. The current coach of the main team led the duo in the three campaigns mentioned.
Bruno Alves renewal
Bruno Alves had a contract with Cruzeiro until June 2025. Now, the contract runs until December 2027.
Rhuan Gabriel Renovation
Rhuan Gabriel will extend his commitment to Cruzeiro until the end of 2028. The old contract ran until December 2025.
