Thiago Seyboth Wild, a 24-year-old Brazilian tennis player, defeated Russian Roman Safiullin in the 1st round of the main draw of the Madrid Opentennis tournament that has broadcast of the main courts on ESPN on Star+.

This is the first time that the Brazilian tennis player, who occupies position 63 in the ranking, has competed in a main draw of this level on clay.

With the triumph over Safiullin, Wild now faces the Italian Lorenzo Musetti, seeded no. 28, in a duel valid for the 2nd round of the Masters 1000 in Madrid and scheduled for Friday (26) broadcast by ESPN on Star+.
