Tite attributed the goal conceded by Flamengo to an ‘individual error’
Flamengo began the search for its dream of a fourth Copa Libertadores de América title. However, last Tuesday (02), Rubro-Negro did not come out of a 1-1 draw with Millonarios (COL), in the altitude of Bogotá, Colombia. Despite this, Tite pointed out the ‘positive points’ of the result.
According to the coach, Flamengo’s squad is constantly evolving. Furthermore, Tite admitted that Mais Querido had a drop in performance even in the first one. However, for the red-and-black commander, the team readjusted itself and corrected its deficiencies, scoring the goal due to an individual error.
— First with the truth. There’s no point hiding it. I am realistic. In the first half, after 15 minutes, the team was below its standard. He came back much better, he deservedly scored the goal. It had volume. Corrected the deficiencies. There are days. In a mistake, in an individual play… It is a process of team evolution –said Tite.
AT LIBERTADORES
With the draw against Millonarios in the first round of the Libertadores group stage, Flamengo only scored one point. The next opponent for the team led by Tite in the South American competition is Palestino (CHI). On Wednesday (10), Rubro-Negro hosts its rival at Maracanã, starting at 9:30 pm (Brasília time).
CHANGE OF FOCUS
Despite dreaming of the Copa Libertadores, Tite’s Flamengo’s focus is once again on the final of the Campeonato Carioca. This is because, next Sunday (07), Rubro-Negro meets Nova Iguaçu again, in the return game of the state decision. The clash takes place from 5pm (Brasília time), with live broadcast from Coluna do Fla, via YouTube.
