The waters of Navegantes beach, on the North Coast of Santa Catarina, will host the first stage of the CBSurf Master Tour in 2024, an event approved by the Brazilian Surfing Confederation and which brings together athletes from different generations over the age of 35. The tournament starts on April 4th and continues until the 7th.

The stage will be the first of the competition, which will also pass through Sergipe and Balneário Camboriú, also in Santa Catarina. The holding of a test in Rio de Janeiro is analyzed.

According to CBSurf, R$70,000 will be distributed across the five categories: master (+35), gran-master (+40), kahuna (+45), gran-kahuna (+50) and legends (+55). Furthermore, at the end of the tournament, the champion will receive R$10,000 as a bonus.

– Sports tourism is a new door of opportunities that opens in the cities that host these events, promoting not only commerce, but tourism in the region with the presence of athletes from all over Brazil – said Bira Schauffert, executive director of CBSurf.

Among the confirmed names are Flávio Moraes, Roni Ronaldo, Péricles Dimitri and Junior Rocha, champions in the 2023 edition.
