Apple announced, during its “Let Loose” event held this Tuesday (07), the launch of a new generation of high-performance tablets, bringing substantial improvements over previous generation models.
11 and 13 inch iPad Air
The 6th generation iPad Air is the brand’s new bet for the mid-range tablet market with high-performance hardware. Maintaining the light and thin design characteristic of the line, one of the main highlights of the model is the debut of a new option with 12.9 inch screenin addition to the classic variant equipped with an 11-inch screen.
The new generation brings a small leap in performance with Apple’s M2 processor, which yields a reasonable increase in CPU power compared to the M1, used in the model launched in 2022. The model now features a design made from 100% aluminum. recycled, aligning with Apple’s sustainability strategy.
Another significant change to the iPad Air’s design is the 12 MP front camera, which can now be found in landscape orientation. This lens features Center Stage technology, which uses machine learning to automatically keep the user in the center of the frame. The rear camera also has a 12 MP sensor.

The model’s stereo speakers are now in landscape orientation, while the 13-inch model has stronger bass than the smaller version. Both models start with 128GB options — double the previous storage — but are also available in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB.
iPad Pro with OLED
One of the highlights is the new generation of iPad Pro, which now features powerful OLED screens — replacing the Mini LED. This technology allows each pixel to be controlled individually, ensuring extremely high contrast, color accuracy and energy efficiency. The screens have the ProMotion function for a variable refresh rate between 1 Hz and 120 Hz.
The iPad Pro’s OLED screen offers 1,600 nits peak brightness in HDR content. Apple calls the new technology “Ultra Retina XDR.” The tablet’s rear camera now has an adaptive flash that improves document scanning in Notes, Files and other iPadOS apps. The front camera is now positioned in landscape orientation.
With 11 and 12.9 inch models, the brand’s new tablets are now equipped with Apple’s new M4 processor, which is manufactured using 3-nanometer lithography. This platform highlights its new 10-core CPU and Neural Engine that promises high performance in AI-based tasks.
The M4 brings a new display controller that helps boost the performance of the OLED screen. The platform is manufactured with a “second generation” 3-nanometer manufacturing process, suggesting that it is an even more advanced version than the process used in the A17 Pro, which powers the iPhone 15 Pro.
