The number of tourists that the State received was recorded at airports, hotels and stores in the capital of Rio de Janeiro.

“Our feeling today is one of duty accomplished. Our objective is always to bring more development and offer more business opportunities with attractions that generate more employment and income for the citizens of Rio de Janeiro”, celebrated the governor at a press conference.

Lasting 2h15, Madonna’s performance in Rio was the last of the tour The Celebration, which celebrated the artist’s 40th anniversary. During the show, the queen of pop declared her love for Rio, justifying why she chose the Marvelous City to close the circuit.

For the event, approximately R$59.9 million in total, according to a spreadsheet sent by the production company Bonus Track to the government of the State of Rio de Janeiro. This amount was paid, for the most part, by sponsoring brands, such as Itaú and Heineken.
