247 – The Federal Police (PF) is investigating visits received by Jair Bolsonaro (PL) during the period in which he took refuge at the Hungarian Embassy in Brasília, in February. The suspicion is that Bolsonaro may have used diplomatic representation to meet with allies, with whom he is prohibited from maintaining contact by order of Federal Supreme Court (STF) minister Alexandre de Moraes, reports Igor Gadelha, from Metrópoles.

Bolsonaro’s stay at the Hungarian embassy came to light after a report by The New York Times, which had access to videos from the security system of the diplomatic representation in Brazil. According to the newspaper, Bolsonaro arrived at the embassy on the night of February 12th, Carnival Monday, and stayed until February 14th.

To date, Bolsonaro and his advisors have not responded to requests for clarification about these visits. Bolsonaro maintains a close relationship with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, and both met in December at Javier Milei’s inauguration in Buenos Aires.
