Commentator says that Sainz had an affair in Brazil and becomes a meme

During the free practice broadcast of the French GP this morning (22), former driver and commentator Felipe Giaffone ended up revealing, without specifying when, that Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz had an affair here in Brazil.

As the first free practice for the Formula 1 French GP was taking place today, reporter Mariana Becker recounted a conversation she had with Lando Norris. Soon after, Giafonne spoke of the alleged case involving Sainz. Check out the dialog below:

Mariana Becker: “Norris’s curiosity. Yesterday we were talking and he asked some things in Portuguese, as he says ‘all right’. He joked and said that Leclerc is always full of bracelets, and I asked him: ‘And this yours there?’. He said: ‘I won a cute one, in Portuguese’. He is full of Portuguese words”.

Giafonne: “I know Sainz has a girlfriend, not who she is, Mari must know better than I do. When he came to Brazil, he went out to the countryside of São Paulo and got a Brazilian cat, and then took him to Monaco”.

Mariana Becker: “Look at the gossip, I don’t know that”

Giafonne: “I know because my son is a friend, he belongs to the class”

Sergio Mauricio: “Best moment of the afternoon here in Formula 1”

With that, the weekend did not start well for the Ferrari driver. In addition to suffering a 10-place grid penalty for the French GP, the Spaniard may still have to explain himself to his girlfriend. Sainz has been dating, since before the pandemic, journalist Isa Hernaez.

The whole situation exploded on social networks and made the pilot’s name one of the most commented on Twitter in Brazil.

In the second free practice, Giaffone used a space to deny what he had said: “As we are talking about Carlos Sainz. Serginho [Mauricio] I’m a bad gossip. I went to say here in the first free practice that he had a Brazilian girlfriend. Forget it, it wasn’t Sainz. I apologize there, the news spreads fast. I’m a bad gossip. I’m not going to talk about anyone’s life anymore,” said the commentator.
