The family and friends of Gabriel Santiago, 27, who died in a traffic accident in London, UK, created a online kitty to bring the body of the Santa Catarina native to Criciúma, in the south of the state. — People are chasing everything they need to make the transfer, but they are totally lost for never having been through any kind of situation of this type. We need all the help possible — says the victim’s uncle Gerson Santiago, — [Estamos] Hands tied, suffering a lot – he adds.
the brazilian suffered a motorcycle accident on Tuesday (19) and could not resist. Gerson believes the accident took place while Gabriel was working – he worked as a motoboy in the city.
“Yesterday around 5pm in London he had his forehead cut off by a driver and died on the spot. He was very cautious on the bike. We are suffering a lot,” he says.
Gabriel’s mother, a public school teacher, went to London this Wednesday (20), where she should meet the young man’s wife, also from Criciúma.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Itamaraty) was contacted by g1 SC to find out if they are following the case, but they did not return the report until the last update of the article.
