After more than 50 anime premieres in April, this month of May will be much calmer, but with important premieres. Which of these animes will you watch?
Time Patrol Bon
The anime series adaptation of the manga Time Patrol Bon (T・P BON) Fujio F. Fujiko will premiere on May 2nd on Netflix and the second season on July 17th.
The animation is from the studio Bones (Mob Psycho, My Hero Academia, Bungou Stray Dogs) that will liven up both seasons. The direction is Masahiro Ando (Hanasaku Iroha – Blossoms for Tomorrow, Stranger) and the music is by Michiru Oshima (Little Witch Academia).
An ordinary high school student named Bon becomes part of a team of time-traveling agents tasked with saving people’s lives during historical events taking place in different times and locations around the world.
My Hero Academia 7
Season 7 of the anime series adaptation of the manga My Hero Academia (Boku no Hero Academia) by Kōhei Horikoshi will premiere on May 4, 2024.
The anime will also get a fourth anime film. Horikoshi will be the general supervisor and original character designer. The film will have an original story that takes place at the same time as the anime series is currently set, with the collapse of safe society.
Izuku Midoriya wants above all to be a hero, but he doesn’t have a single drop of superpowers. Without the possibility of attending the UA High School for Superheroes, his life seems to have reached a dead end.
It is then that an encounter with All Might, the greatest hero of all time, gives him the opportunity to change his destiny…
Code Geass: Roze of the Recapture
Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture (Code Geass: Dakkan no Roze) will have its first part premiering on May 10th. The second part on June 7th, the third part on July 5th and the fourth part on August 2nd.
With animation by the studio Sunrisethe direction is Yoshimitsu Ohashi (Amnesia, Galaxy Angel, Sacred Seven), the argument is Noboru Kimura (Princess Principal: Crown Handler, Problem children are coming from another world, aren’t they?) and the character design is of the CLAMP with anime adaptation by Takahiro Kimura It is Hidekazu Shimamura.
Trapezium
The anime film adaptation of the novel Trapezium in Kazumi Takayama It will premiere on May 10th.
With animation by the studio CloverWorks (The Promised Neverland), directed by Masahiro Shinohara (direction of episodes of Blend S, Is the order a rabbit?), Koji Masunari (storyboard for Oshi no Ko, TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You) is supervising the script for Yuuko Kakihara (The Apothecary Diaries, Buddy Daddies), the character design is by River (Sorcerous Stabber Orphen -Chaos in Urbanrama-) and the music is by Masaru Yokoyama (Farewell, My Dear Cramer: The Movie, Fruits Basket -prelude-, Horimiya).
The soap opera portrays the 10 years of a girl who aspires to be an idol. Yū Higashi, a high school student, aims to be an idol. To make her dream come true, she sets four rules for herself: she will not be active on social media, she will not have a boyfriend, she will not excel at school and she will make friends with beautiful girls from the north, south, east and west.
Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arcseason 4 of the anime adaptation of Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba), will premiere on May 12th.
Two compilation specials Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc will be shown on May 4th and 5th.
The animation of Demon Slayer 4 It’s from the studio Ufotable (Fate/Zero, Kara no Kyoukai, Katsugeki: Touken Ranbu), directed by Haruo Sotozaki (Tales of Zestiria the X, Tales of Symphonia the Animation) and the character design is by Akira Matsushima (Maria Watches Over Us, Tales of Zestiria the X).
The setting is Japan, Taisho era. Tanjirou is a benevolent boy who lived peacefully with his family as a humble charcoal seller. His life changes completely when his family is killed by demons. The only other survivor is his younger sister, Nezuko, who has become a ferocious demon. To return Nezuko to normal and take revenge on the demon that killed her family, the brothers set out on a journey. From a young talent begins a tale of adventures of blood and swords!
