On Monday (6), while Brazil was still debating the effects and repercussions of Madonna’s show, which took place last Saturday (4), in various spheres of society, news emerged that the artist had secretly made a donation of R$10 million to Rio Grande do Sul, a state devastated by rains and floods.

The news soon spread across several news portals, however, until now, the government of Rio Grande do Sul had not commented. However, the silence of the Rio Grande do Sul administration was broken this Wednesday (8).

In a statement sent to the Notícias da TV website, the Communications Secretariat (Secom) of the government of Rio Grande do Sul denied the existence of PIX records worth R$10 million in the name of the singer Madonna. “We do not have a record of this donation in PIX SOS Rio Grande do Sul”, states the note issued by the management of Rio Grande do Sul.
