According to the The Hollywood ReporterO remake of the classic story ‘The legend of the headless Knight’ is still under development under the supervision of Paramount Pictures.

Information indicates that the director Lindsey Anderson Beerknown for her work in ‘Cursed Cemetery: The Origin’renewed his contract with the studio through his company Lab Brew.

The original story was written by Washington Irving and received a film adaptation in 1999 by Tim Burton.

The film featured Johnny Depp as Ichabod Crane, a New York detective investigating a bizarre series of murders committed by the “Headless Horseman” in the small village of Sleepy Hollow. The film was a box office success and received an Oscar for Best Art Direction.

Beer will also be responsible for the script.

During an interview with Dread Central, beer shared his excitement about the film: “I’m working on a reboot of ‘The Legend of the Headless Horseman’ for Paramount, and it’s been a lot of fun.”she explained. “I read the story in elementary school and became completely obsessed with Tim Burton’s film. This project delves much deeper into the original stories, mythology and true ghost legends of the Hudson Valley, and it has been an incredible experience.”
