A tribute to Remus Lupin.

In 2007, the franchise Harry Potter it was running full steam ahead. The books were coming out as expected, the actors in the films were growing up (but not by much) and they even found a resident director in David Yates. Yates made his debut in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and would remain until the end of the saga (including the spin-off Fantastic Beasts).

A tribute to your favorite teacher

Harry Potter fans were very excited during the release of this fifth film. Just ten days after its debut in cinemas, the last volume of the series was released, which many bought at night library openings and read in just one day.

In fact, this film had the support of author JK Rowling, who gave spoilers about the plot when the screenwriter decided to cut Dobby and Kreacher: “You know, I wouldn’t do that if I were you. You can, but if you want to make a seventh film, you will have problems.”

And eight were made, in fact. And in Order of the Phoenix is where Harry makes one of the most subtle homages to the saga: at Dumbledore’s Army meetings, Harry wears cardigans similar to Professor Remus Lupin’s, with buttons all the way down. The idea came from Daniel Radcliffe himself, who thought that the protagonist would like to imitate his favorite Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher.

Surprisingly, and despite all the clues that point to this, at the end of the saga Harry does not start teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts, but becomes an Auror (in fact, the head of the Auror Section).
