Kayky Brito unfollows Bruno De Luca
Actor Kayky Brito appears to have severed his friendship with Bruno De Luca. This week, internet users noticed that the boy stopped following the presenter on Instagram. The attitude comes eight months after the accident that almost killed Kayky, a case in which De Luca was also involved.
In the early hours of September 2, 2023, actor Kayky Brito was run over on Av. Lucio Costa, in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The accident happened after the actor insisted on crossing the car lane outside the pedestrian crossing.
Moments before the collision, Brito was in a bar on the beach in the company of Bruno De Luca. The presenter was accused by internet users of having abandoned Kayky Brito after the app car hit the actor.

After the almost fatal accident, the actor was rescued and taken to Miguel Couto Municipal Hospital, where he was diagnosed with multiple body trauma and head trauma. In serious condition, the artist was transferred to the Copa D’Or private hospital, where he underwent surgery to treat fractures throughout his body. He was discharged only after 27 days in hospital.
Brito was at a seaside kiosk when he crossed the avenue towards his own car, parked on the opposite side. The actor was run over by an app driver when returning to the establishment. Diones Silva, who was driving the vehicle, gained popular support after venting about the loss caused by the accident and the difficulty of returning to work. In an online “fundraiser”, he raised R$180,000 in a few hours.
The case also had repercussions on social media with comments criticizing Bruno de Luca, who was with Kayky before the accident. In a statement to the police, the presenter stated that he only found out that his friend was run over the next day, when he was already in São Paulo to attend The Town festival. Witnesses pointed out that Bruno knew that the actor was run over and, at the time, the presenter was accused of failing to help.
