This is the case of Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter, two direct spin-offs of the events of the MCU. Interestingly, both series were never officially recognized by Marvel Studios. Until now… and for one of them, at least.

ALL ABOUT WHAT IF…?

What If…? it was the most different and unexpected project announced for Phase 4 of the MCU. After all, it was FIRST animated series from Marvel Studios, based on the famous series of comics that shows alternative versions of heroes (such as Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa) and situations very different from the events of the Marvel universe. The showrunner responsible for the series is the writer and director Ashley Bradley.

The main name of the cast is Jeffrey Wright (Westworld) who will play the protagonist of the animation: The Watcher! Among the gigantic voice cast we will have names like Haylley Atwell (Peggy Carter), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Josh Brolin (Thanos) Tom Hiddleston (Loki). The first season featured Chadwick Boseman’s last appearance at Marvel.

In December 2023, we had the start of second season on Disney+, with 9 episodes being released daily. The total 18 episodes are available on streaming. And yes, What If…? will get a 3rd SEASON soon!
