According to an estimate by the Brazilian Association of the Hotel Industry (Abih), accommodations in the central region of Brasília account for 70% of the occupancy for the Independence Day holiday. The expectation is that, as of this Monday (5/9), the occupancy of hotel rooms will increase as a result of the September 7 parade, on the Esplanada dos Ministérios.

The president of Abih-DF, Henrique Severien, believes that the availability in the hostels is still considerable. “Unlike last year, three days before the 7th of September, we already had an occupancy estimate above 90%”, he commented.

According to him, in hotels outside the central region of the capital, the estimate of room occupancy is even lower, around 50%.

However, the association’s expectation is that the occupancy rate in the hotel chains in the Federal District will increase in the coming days.
