Singer Anderson Leonardo died this Friday (26/4), aged 51. The singer of the group Molejo had been hospitalized since March 24th and had been fighting inguinal cancer, in the groin region, since October 2022.
The news was confirmed by this columnist with the artist’s advice. In recent months, the artist has been admitted to the hospital several times due to complications from the disease. During one of his visits to the health unit, he was diagnosed with pulmonary embolism.
Anderson Leonardo’s condition worsened on Thursday (25/4) and he returned to the ICU. His health condition was considered very serious. The musician arrived to show improvement, but was sedated shortly afterwards. Lately, he was also dealing with kidney failure.
Anderson Leonardo was married to Paula Cardoso and left four children. The Molejo group’s advisory released an official note on social media at the end of March, after his last hospitalization.

Who was Anderson Leonardo
Anderson was diagnosed with the tumor, close to the groin region, in 2022. After treatment, the disease went into remission, returning in 2023. On the same occasion, the celebrity was hospitalized due to a pulmonary embolism.
Recently, the artist was once again admitted to an Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This morning he fell into a coma, leaving him in a very serious condition.
Molejo gained prominence in 1994, when they released their first album. In total, they put together 13 albums, which feature popular hits such as “Caçamba”, “Brincadeira de Criança”, “Paparico” and “Dança da Vassoura”.
Anderson Leonardo leaves four children, Leozinho Bradock, Alissa, Rafael Phelipe and Alice, and a granddaughter, Andressa, daughter Leozinho.
