MS is on orange alert for temperature decline this Sunday

The Inmet (National Institute of Meteorology) issued an ‘orange alert’ level 2 for a decline in temperatures in the south, southwest and Pantanal region of Mato Grosso do Sul this Sunday (28).

According to meteorologists, temperatures may start to drop as early as this Sunday morning (28) and should be higher than 5ºC.

The warning warns of health risks with the sharp drop in temperature and informs that, in case of problems, the Civil Defense can be called 199.

According to Climatempo’s meteorology, cities in the extreme south and MS border with Paraguay such as Sete Quedas, Amambai and Ponta Porã can record a minimum of 8ºC.

The chill, however, should not remain for long and will give way to hot days from Wednesday. Winter ends on the 22nd of September, when it gives way to spring.

The alert reaches 35 cities in the state, check which ones:

Amambai, Antônio João, Aral Moreira, Bela Vista, Bodoquena, Bonito, Caarapó, Caracol, Colonel Sapucaia, Corumbá, Dourados, Eldorado, Fátima do Sul, Gloria de Dourados, Guia Lopes da Laguna, Iguatemi, Itaporã, Itaquiraí, Japorã, Jardim , Jateí, Juti, Ladário, Laguna Carapã, Maracaju, Miranda, Mundo Novo, Naviraí, Nioaque, Paranhos, Ponta Porã, Porto Murtinho, Sete Quedas, Tacuru and Vicentina.
