Comedian responds to post with meme of character washing clothes in the river; “You don’t know that they already invented a washing machine”, says the first lady
First lady Janja da Silva responded this Thursday (May 9, 2024) to criticism from comedian Whindersson Nunes about her participation in the rescue of the horse Caramelo. The animal was left stranded on the roof of a house in Canoas (RS) after the heavy rains that hit the state.
On the morning of this Thursday (May 9), the wife of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) published a video saying she was “very excited” with equine rescue. She stated that she had been mobilizing teams to rescue Caramelo since 6am.

An hour later, Whindersson answered the post with a photo of actress and influencer Jade Picon as the character Chiara, from the soap opera “Crossing”from the TV Globo. In the image, she appears washing clothes manually in a river.
Another user countered the comedian and declared that Janja mobilized the Army to rescue the horse and was in contact with the volunteers to get a stud farm for Caramelo.
“This attitude by Whindersson Nunes demoralizes a very important work that is being done”said the internet user.
The first lady then responds to the user’s post: “He [Whindersson] You don’t know that they invented a washing machine a long time ago that frees up women’s time to do and be wherever they want.”
