The State Finance Secretariat (Sefaz-PB) informs taxpayers in Paraíba that, due to the serious floods that are plaguing Rio Grande do Sul and the power shutdown in the Historic Center of the Capital Porto Alegre, the server of the Virtual Finance Secretariat of Rio Grande do Sul (SVRS), which is responsible for the operation of the system for issuing electronic tax documents in 16 Brazilian states, including Paraíba, decided to take some emergency actions, such as, for example, the shutdown of one of the Datacenters and the transferring the operation of some services to the cloud technological environment.

In a new update of the note on the issuance of electronic tax documents on Tuesday (7), Sefaz-PB instructed the auditors of the Inspection of Goods in Transit not to carry out fines on vehicles if they do not present the issuance of the Electronic Document Manifest (MDF-E) until the problems with the National Environment server of the Rio Grande do Sul Virtual Finance Secretariat (SVRS) are normalized. The measure aims not to harm companies in the transport sector.

However, all electronic tax document services are operating normally. If the company is unable to use any service, Sefaz-PB recommends that it check with the suppliers of the issuing systems, whether they use any “IP address” of the physical Datacenters in Rio Grande do Sul for the transmission of NF-e, instead of the Official URLs described in the “Web Services List” of the NF-e Portal, as the IPs have changed and it will not be possible to use them at this time.

Sefaz-PB also advises that if companies are unable to issue electronic tax documents normally, following the instructions of the Rio Grande do Sul Virtual Finance Secretariat (SVRS) server, they will be able to issue the documents in contingency mode.
