This week, the Rio Grande do Norte Court of Justice began a joint effort aimed at prioritizing the judgment of cases involving two types of themes: cases of moral and sexual harassment It is discrimination.

In total, 172 processes are scheduled to be analyzed by the end of May, according to TJRN, within this joint effort.

The joint effort is part of the Week to Combat Harassment and Discriminationwhich takes place in courts throughout Brazil until this Friday (10), with awareness raising actions on the topics.

According to the Ministry of Labor and Employment, women, with almost 80% of cases, are the main victims of these types of crimes.

According to the TJRN, the 172 processes that must be analyzed in the RN deal exclusively with cases of harassment and discrimination – especially containing matters related to racial, color, ethnic and/or origin themes.

The processes, according to TJRN, are from dozens of districts and include all regions of the State.

The lawsuits involve cases related to moral harassment, sexual harassment; bullying, violence and discrimination; fine for the illegality of salary discrimination; non-discrimination; in addition to situations of intolerance and/or insult due to gender identity or expression; by sexual orientation; by national origin; racial, color and/or ethnicity; religious; by gender identity or expression; and sexual orientation.

Remember two recent cases of discrimination that, according to the victims, did not reach an outcome until May of this year:
