The Brasil em Mapas platform published important data on the investment rate of Brazilian states. The compilation analyzes net public investments with current revenues. Investments are tools that work to boost economic performance in the DF and in the federative units.

For the State of Acre, Brasil em Mapas attributed a rate of 9.0%, the third highest percentage in the northern region. In 1st place comes Pará (15.9%). Tocantins (10.0%) takes 2nd place. Amazonas appears with 8.3%, occupying 4th place. In 5th comes Rondônia (8.1%). Amapá has a rate of 7.6%. In the lantern appears Roraima, 4.9%.

Public investment is understood as investment in road, railway, port, energy and transport infrastructure. In basic water, sanitation, communications and telecommunications infrastructures, in health, education, sport, research and development. Infrastructures, for example, connect companies; public research stimulates private innovation; Investment in health generates healthy and productive workers.

“The indicator considers the investment rate in percentages per federative unit in relation to net investment and net current revenue. This indicator shows the degree of public investment in strategic areas, visualizing how much the state has made this resource available. In 2023, federal government investments grew 80.5% compared to 2022”, reported Brasil em Mapas.

The Federal District has the smallest number of public investment destinations (3.8%), followed by Goiás and Rio Grande do Sul. The states with the highest public investments in relation to their revenues are Alagoas, with 18.5%, followed by Mato Grosso do Sul and Bahia.
