Governor Eduardo Riedel’s trip to the United States, where New York will participate between the 12th and 17th of MS Day, will be a showcase for Mato Grosso do Sul to showcase its potential and attract new investments. The assessment comes from the president of the Legislative Assembly, deputy Gerson Claro, convinced that Riedel will return bringing with him great prospects for the development of Mato Grosso do Sul, which has recorded growth above the national average with a strong diversification of its economic base, highlights Gerson. MS Day will be part of Brazilian Week, a week with discussions about challenges in the international scenario and the Brazilian economy.

There were four months of preparation for the agenda consisting of meetings with banking institutions, investment funds, global businesspeople and chambers of commerce. The presentation of projects will revolve mainly around the areas of environment and infrastructure, including highways and railways. This year alone there will be R$33 billion in private investments, estimated to generate 14,500 new jobs.

“In Sidrolândia alone there are more than R$3 billion in investments, including the implementation of the Inpasa industrial unit, the planting of 6 thousand hectares of oranges by Cutrale and pig farming”, recalls Gerson.

In addition to favorable logistics, the governor that the State will show has advanced in structuring projects and sustainable development with solid legal security, including modern legislation for the Pantanal. Many investors are curious to know how they can contribute to attracting new investments in areas such as orange cultivation, grain processing and the advancement of the cellulose production chain to manufacture products such as paper and packaging within the State. The renewable energy sector is also among the opportunities to attract investments in the expansion of the industrial park for sugarcane processing. Within the park there are new industrial plants to advance not only in biogas, but also in the area of bioelectricity, which is in great demand.
