Rio – A large fire hit a meat processing plant, on the afternoon of this Monday (6), in Campos Elíseos, in Duque de Caxias, in Baixada Fluminense. The Rio Fire Department was called at around 4pm.

Firefighters remained until early evening on Estrada José Pinheiro Alonso, at number 95, in the Jardim Nossa Senhora do Carmo neighborhood, to fight the fire. The incident also has the support of the barracks in Duque de Caxias, São Cristóvão, Nova Iguaçu and Irajá.

At 6pm, the fire had still not been controlled. So far there is no information on victims.
