Businesspeople and representatives from Switzerland will visit the state in search of opportunities

The governor of Mato Grosso do Sul, Eduardo Riedel (PSDB), received this Monday afternoon (6) the Swiss ambassador to Brazil, Pietro Lazzari, the Swiss consul general in São Paulo, Pierre Hangmann, and a group of representatives from five large Swiss companies that do business in Brazil. The objective of the meeting is to attract investment from the European country in the State.

According to Riedel, Mato Grosso do Sul grows in line with the needs of the productive sectors with environmental and social care. “I hope that the visit of representatives from Switzerland, and businesspeople from different areas in which the State is interested in the quality, knowledge and level of investment that can be made, will bear positive fruit”, stated the governor.

The Swiss delegation will make a series of visits to the State in search of investment opportunities in the areas of infrastructure, basic sanitation, urban mobility and innovation.

“Mato Grosso do Sul is a state that in recent years has been an example in terms of development and economic growth. Switzerland arrives with proposals, but first listening to opportunities in various areas, infrastructure, agribusiness, tourism. Switzerland is a modest country, but also the most innovative in the world. And Mato Grosso do Sul is a state that produces and exports a lot. So let’s join our forces, excellences to increase investments and partnership”, said ambassador Pierre Hangmann.

The meeting also brought together the CEO of the business office integrated with the Swiss Consulate General in São Paulo, Hans Aebi, and the secretaries Jaime Verruck (Semadesc), Rodrigo Perez (Segov), Flávio César (Sefaz), Eliane Detoni (EPE) and the CEO of Sanesul, Renato Marcílio.
