Registration for Vale’s Professional Training Program is now open. In total, there are 450 vacancies, preferably for women, distributed across four states: Espírito Santo, Maranhão, Minas Gerais and Pará. In addition to the qualification course, candidates will receive a grant of R$ 1,937.31 for the operational trainee position.

The training program offers qualifications for carrying out operational activities that are essential to the company’s business. In the case of Espírito Santo, the opportunities are concentrated in Greater Vitória and are for maintenance mechanic, port equipment operator and railway operator courses.

People over the age of 18 who have completed regular high school education or technical high school courses can participate, depending on the vacancy. However, the program provides preferential opportunities for women, as a way of promoting inclusion and training professionals for important roles in the company’s operations. For vacancies in Espírito Santo, candidates must reside in Vitória, Cariacica, Serra or Vila Velha.

Those selected will receive monthly remuneration of up to R$1,937.31 and will also be entitled to medical assistance, life insurance, daycare and preschool reimbursement, physical activity benefits (Gympass), access to Apoiar (employee assistance program that provides legal, financial and psychological support), meal vouchers or cafeteria at the place of work (when applicable) and food vouchers, transportation vouchers (when applicable) or transportation at the place of work, Christmas basket, among others.

The selection process will include the following stages: registration, knowledge assessments, online dynamics, interviews with Vale managers, delivery of documentation and medical examinations. The training is expected to begin, in partnership with the National Industrial Learning Service (Senai), from August onwards. Theoretical learning lasts from 4 to 6 months and practice takes up to 9 months, at Vale’s facilities.
