Rio – This Sunday (5) the show “Belo and Soweto 30 years” will take place at the Sambódromo, in the city center, and traffic closures and changes will be made around Praça da Apoteose.

The presentation, initially scheduled for Saturday (4), was postponed due to singer Madonna’s concert in Copacabana, in the South Zone of Rio.

The group Soweto is one of the icons of the 90s. The “Sow3t0” tour will visit 30 cities in the country. The band’s members, in addition to Belo, are Claudinho, Crisevertom and Dado Olliveira.

Soweto has in its repertoire romantic pagodas known throughout Brazil as “Não Foi à Toa”, “Mundo de Oz”, “Buzios e Tarô”, “Tempo de Aprendiz”, “Derê” and “Farol das Estrelas”.

CET-Rio will implement a special traffic scheme in an operation that will involve the participation of 42 traffic operators, including agents from the Municipal Guard, CET-Rio and traffic supporters, who will work to maintain fluidity, curb irregular parking, organize intersections, guide pedestrians and carry out the necessary road blocks.

Road closures

May 5th, from 1pm to 1am the following day:

– Avenida Salvador de Sá, in the section between Rua Frei Caneca, under Viaduto Trinta e um de Março, and Travessa Pedregais;

– From the access junction of Viaduto Trinta e Um de Março to Avenida Salvador de Sá;

– Avenida Marquês de Sapucaí, between Rua Benedito Hipólito and Rua Frei Caneca;

– Rua Benedito Hipólito, in the section between Rua Carmo Neto and Viaduto Trinta e Um de Março;

– Rua Frei Caneca, in the stretch between Praça Jornalista José Eduardo de Macedo Soares and Rua Paula Matos;

– Rua Haroldo de Andrade, along its entire length;

Parking ban

May 5th, from 11 am to 1 am on the following day:

– Rua Amoroso Lima, in the stretch between Rua Afonso Cavalcante and Avenida Presidente Vargas;

– Rua Carmo Neto, along its entire length;

– Rua Heitor Carrilho, in its entirety;

– Avenida Marquês de Sapucaí, in the section between Avenida Presidente Vargas and Rua Frei Caneca;

– Rua Frei Caneca, in the section between Rua Heitor Carrilho and the Martim de Sá Tunnel;

– Rua Benedito Hipólito, in the section between Rua Carmo Neto and the descent loop of Viaduto Trinta e Um de Março;

– Comandante Maurity Street, along its entire length;

– Rua Júlio do Carmo, stretch between Avenida Marquês de Sapucaí and Rua Carmo Neto.

The road direction will be reversed on Rua Amoroso Lima, in the section between Rua Afonso Cavalcanti and Avenida Presidente Vargas, from the first to the second, on Sunday, from 1 pm to 1 am on the following day.
