Former employee is arrested after stealing two chickens from a place where he worked and storing plucked birds in MG | South of Minas

A 53-year-old man was arrested after stealing two chickens from a farm where he worked in Elói Mendes, in the south of Minas. According to the Military Police, the birds were found plucked under the bed in a house. His 60-year-old companion was also arrested.

The case, registered on Sunday night (5), was reported by the Military Police to g1 this Wednesday (8).

The 52-year-old owner of the farm told the police that the suspect was a former employee of his and had stolen the roosters from his property in the rural area.

After the complaint, the police went to the house of the suspect’s partner, located on Rua Silviano Brandão, Centro de Elói Mendes. At the scene, the woman denied the man’s presence and tried to cover him up, but he was found by the military.

According to the PM, the two stolen chickens were found slaughtered and plucked. They were hiding under a bed in one of the bedrooms of the residence.

The former employee and his partner were arrested and taken to the Varginha Civil Police station.

The Civil Police informed g1 that the couple was interviewed through the 2nd State Digital Duty Center and, subsequently, both were released. A procedure was initiated to investigate the case.
