Two people died and one was in serious condition after their car was hit by a tractor truck that overturned at MGC-464, in Santa Juliana, this Saturday morning (4).
The 54-year-old truck driver told the Military Highway Police (PMRv) that he lost control of the steering wheel when making a curve. The vehicle overturned and hit the car traveling in the opposite direction, blocking the stretch in both directions.
Also according to PMRv, one of the car’s occupants is 65 years old, while the other two are around 42 years old. It was not specified which victims died at the scene. The victim in serious condition was taken to a hospital.
The truck driver only had minor injuries and required medical attention. He took a breathalyzer test, which did not indicate the presence of alcohol in his blood, and was released.
Civil Police expertise was called. Until late Saturday afternoon, the track remained blocked.
