Sicredi Centro-Sul MS/BA – cooperative financial institution – has opened registrations for the second edition of the Writing Competition aimed at students from public and private schools and federal institutes from all municipalities within the Cooperative’s area of operation in Mato Grosso do Sul and in Bahia. This year, the theme of the textual productions is: “The role of Credit Cooperatives for financial inclusion”.
In this second edition, the Cooperative has expanded the age range of students who will be able to participate in the selection, also extending it to students who are studying the 9th year of elementary school and the 1st year of high school, in addition to students in the 2nd and 3rd years of school. middle school and responsible teachers. Interested parties may submit their textual productions divided as follows:
- 9th year of elementary school and 1st year of high school: Narrative (story)
- 2nd and 3rd year of high school: Dissertation (argumentative dissertation and expository dissertation).
The registration period will be from 8am on May 1st to 6pm on June 14th. Each student can submit only one textual production.
According to the Competition regulations, the essay must be handwritten according to the template sheet, which must be printed, scanned and submitted in PDF file format on the competition website. The PDF file may not contain, under any circumstances, the participant’s data. Text production must contain a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 40 lines. The productions will be evaluated by a Judging Committee, taking into account criteria such as creativity, grammaticity, elements of the textual genre and suitability for the proposed theme.
The first three students selected in each category will win prizes from Sicredi Centro-Sul MS/BA, divided as follows:
- 1st place: Dell G15 Gamer Notebook;
- 2nd place: Apple Iphone 15;
- 3rd place: Nintendo Switch.
The teachers responsible for each category will be awarded the following prizes:
- 1st place: Dell Inspiron 15 Notebook;
- 2nd place: Samsung Galaxy Tablet;
- 3rd place: Kindle.

1st Competition
In 2023, Sicredi Centro-Sul MS/BA awarded three student winners of the 1st Writing Competition, whose theme was “The importance of young people in credit cooperatives”. The winner of the Competition was the student from Bela Vista, Rafaely Gonçalves, together with her teacher Maria Francisca Valiente. The student from Fátima do Sul, Ana Clara Rêgo Caetano de Matos, and the student from Anaurilândia, Gabriel Yoshio Yamamoto Nascimento, also received awards. They won with the production of a discursive text, a poem and a comic book, respectively.
For the president of Sicredi Centro-Sul MS/BA, Paulo Roberto Neves, the objective was to stimulate students’ research on the proposed topic so that they could learn more about cooperativism and bring reflections about community life and the act of cooperating , as an opportunity for human growth in the social sphere.
“With this second edition, our objective is to once again comply with one of our principles, which is Interest in the Community and Education, Training and Information, contributing to the education of students in our area of activity, bringing the Cooperative closer to the community”, highlighted.
