The British DJ Hot Since 82stage name of Daley Padley, used social media this Saturday (4) to announce the cancellation of two shows that would be held in Brazil. After a performance in Rio de Janeiro last Friday night (3), he and his team suffered an attempted robbery. In a video, he said that the criminals approached him with high-caliber weapons and was grateful to be alive.

“Yesterday, around 5am, after leaving the club where I played in Rio de Janeiro, a car with people armed with rifles and balaclavas followed us. It seemed like they knew who was in the car and where we were going. I don’t know if they were robbers or murderers. If it weren’t for our driver’s heroic maneuver, I don’t know if he would be alive,” he explained.

In the video, he also said that the robbers were wearing balaclavas. The driver went the wrong way to escape. The artist described the situation as “similar to Fast and Furious”.
