A 15-year-old teenager, suspected of participating in the kidnapping and physical and psychological torture of a trans woman, in Nazaré, was arrested this Friday (3) by a team from the city’s Territorial Police Station (DT), with the support of investigators from the 4th Regional Interior Police Coordination (Coorpin) of Santo Antônio de Jesus. The teams carried out a search and seizure warrant.

Investigations showed that the victim was kidnapped in the town of Ilha das Cobras on April 5th and taken to a mangrove area, where she was tied up and tortured. She was then taken by the criminals to another location, being hit by 17 shots. She was taken to a hospital in the region, where she received medical and psychosocial care.

The teenager will face criminal acts similar to the crimes of attempted triple homicide, kidnapping, false imprisonment and torture. He will be sent to a Socio-Educational Service Center for Juvenile Offenders (Case), remaining at the disposal of the Children and Youth Court. Investigations continue with the aim of clarifying the motivation for the crime and identifying everyone involved.
