Two young women aged 18 and 20 died after a car accident in the early hours of this Friday (3) on BR-491, at the Areado interchange (MG). According to the Fire Department, two other people who were in the vehicle were seriously injured.
According to firefighters, the vehicle with four occupants was heading towards Monte Belo to Areado when it passed straight through the city’s interchange and hit the ravine.
According to the military, two women aged 18 and 20 were trapped in the wreckage and died at the scene. A 20-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man were rescued with serious injuries by Samu and taken to Alzira Velano Hospital, in Alfenas.
The bodies were sent to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) of Poços de Caldas.
According to firefighters, the section of the accident is the same place where the team responded to two serious accidents with deaths last month.
Civil Police experts were also on site and carried out the usual work. The causes of the accident will be investigated.
