Paula was 43 years old and was found dead in an abandoned house in the Nova Fronteira sector in April this year. According to the Civil Police, she had holes in her head. The pickaxe was found next to a bed, with traces of blood.
Teams from the 3rd Homicide and Personal Protection Division (DHPP – Gurupi) located the suspect on Thursday afternoon (2), and served the preventive arrest warrant issued by the Specialized Court for Combating Domestic Violence Against Women and Intentional Crimes against Vida de Gurupi.
According to police chief Joadelson Rodrigues Albuquerque, after arrest, the suspect narrated in great detail all the facts that resulted in the victim’s death, without showing regret.
The suspect was taken to the headquarters of the 12th Civil Police Service Center, and was then taken to the local penal unit, where he remains at the disposal of the Judiciary.
According to the Public Security Secretariat, investigations will continue so that the Civil Police can clarify all the circumstances of the crime.
