Reducing costs and improving purchasing processes are the main objectives of the Shared Purchasing Center (CCC) project, run by the State Secretariat for Planning and Management (Seplag-MG), which will expand the centralization of public purchasing by the Government of Minas Gerais. In a chat held this Friday (3/5), the initiative was discussed to clarify doubts about its construction and execution.

The change seeks to reduce the costs of processing public purchases, through the standardization of processes and the development of a team specialized in public procurement. Thus, it is possible to reduce purchasing execution time and identify opportunities to make purchases on a large scale, thus increasing efficiency in hiring and contributing to better delivery to the population.

Governor Romeu Zema highlighted the importance of the topic in a video broadcast at the event. “Purchases are essential to implement public policies and guarantee quality services for miners. With this centralization, we will ensure the same standard of quality, execution time and transparency to serve the bodies and entities, always maintaining dialogue with the institutions”, stated Zema.

The CCC project was launched in January 2020 and, since then, it has been under construction, already achieving some results. The creation of the Subsecretariat for Public Procurement (SubComp) of Seplag-MG is one of them. The initiative further consolidates Minas Gerais as a reference in centralized purchasing.

“Even though we are centralizing, we have to consider the specificities of purchases and the folders that require these purchases, with a qualified, transparent and, above all, standardized approach to each of the processes. This conversation is so that we can expand the discussion and understand the critical and attention points, together following a successful path”, declared the head of the Seplag-MG Office, Sílvia Listgarten.

The inspiration for building the CCC project came, in addition to the evolution of the Minas Gerais model itself, from other places, other states, the private sector and, especially, the Federal Government, through ColaboraGov, the Shared Services Center of the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI).

Among other actions that have been part of the Seplag-MG initiative since 2020 are a diagnosis and mapping of all State purchases, training of technical staff, dissemination of bulletins and newsletters and holding chats. Other information can be accessed here.
