For a fairer Brazil! This is the slogan for this year’s Labor Day, which will be celebrated by the Central Única dos Trabalhadores de Roraima (CUT/RR) on Saturday (4/5), in Germano Augusto Sampaio square, in a unified event that will bring together affiliated unions, social movements, public and private institutions, family farming entrepreneurs, artisans and many artists.
The event will start at 8:30 am with social activities aimed at the community, providing services for the interests of the working class. The closing, scheduled for 8:30 pm, will be a cultural show that will feature the participation of local artists. “We want to offer a different option for the working class, so that everyone feels good, and has the opportunity to participate in actions that, normally, they cannot do due to the workload. In addition to being a social and cultural event, it is a political and reflection event, debate and fight for a fairer country for all”, highlighted the president of CUT-RR, Antônia Matias.
The program will include vaccinations for children and adults, legal and labor information, guidance on declaring income tax and issuing a digital work card. In addition, there will be medical care, donations of academic and literary books, a craft fair, family farming and registration for Fitdance and Self-Defense classes.
The partners are the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE), National Union of Agricultural Research and Development Workers (Sinpaf), Union of Workers in Family Farming (Sintraf), Five Poles Agricultural Cooperative (Coopcinco), Rural Workers Union Farmers and Family Farmers of União-RR (STRAAF), Union of Journalists of the State of Roraima (Sinjoper) and Union of Federal Public Servants in the State of Roraima (Sindsep-RR).
In addition to the Union of Health Workers in the State of Roraima (Sintra-RR), Roraima Women’s Center (Numur), Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST), Brazilian Bar Association-Roraima Section (OAB/RR) , Municipal Health Secretariat (SMSA), Union of Community Health and Endemic Agents (Sindacse-RR), Union of Workers in Urban Industries of the State of Roraima (STIU/RR), Roraima Development Company (Codesaima), Union of Civil Workers of the State of Roraima (Sintraima), Ambulance Drivers Union of the State of Roraima (Sindconam-RR) and Public Defender’s Office of the State of Roraima (DPE-RR).
The event also has a partnership with Casa da Mulher Brasileira, Instituto Projeção; Union of Accounting Services Companies and Advisory, Expertise, Information and Research Companies of the State of Roraima (Sescon-RR) and Secretariat of State and Social Welfare (Setrabes).
